Public Demonstration - April 29 & 30

MAW 2011 - April 29 & 30, at Sierra Blanca Regional Airport.
Holloman Air Force Base will be the lead Support with significant participation from Ft. Bliss,
White Sands Missile Range, Cannon Air Force Base, Kirtland Air Force Base, and NM National Guard.

April 29 - CONVOYS ARRIVE

10:00 AM & 1:30 PM.  Community will be flying American flags and Welcome signs.  Troops will erect Military City on demonstration field, Sierra Blanca Regional Airport.  Complimentary dinner show for the troops at Flying J Ranch.

April 30 - OPENING CEREMONY

10:00 AM, Civilian Fly-Over, Static Displays, Helicopters, Static Displays, Tanks, Bombs, Canine Training, Sapper Battles, Drills, Bands, Essay Contest Winners, Essential Skills Training, Bomb Robot, Fat Man display, Paint Ball Wars, Bataan Veterans, and much more.  Food vendors for the public.

AWARDS DINNER BANQUET - 6:00 PM, Ruidoso Middle School, General Officer Speaker, POW's - Bataan Veterans.

WOUNDED WARRIOR - Joshua Bullis, POW/MIA Table Presentation.  Open to the Public, $12.00, Reservations Required.

May 01 - Convoys Depart.

 

A very special event will take place during the Awards Banquet for MAW 2011.  There will be a covenant signed between the Military Communities and Ruidoso and Greater Lincoln County.  To find out more regarding this covenant signing, follow this link.
