| The
MAW 2010 event will be held at the Ruidoso Downs Race Track on the
infield. The event begins with a Golf
Tournament Thursday, May 06, at The Links. As always, every
branch of the U.S. Armed Forces will be participating. Ft. Bliss is the
lead support for 2010. The convoy will arrive at the Race Track at noon
on Friday, May 07. The public is encouraged to form two greeting
lines through which the troops will pass for welcoming high-fives.
Military City will be erected, and spectators will be treated to hands
on military equipment, artillery, bombs, simulators, demonstrations,
drills, exercises including Bradley Fighting Vehicle, helicopter
landings, canine training, downed pilot search and rescue, camo face
painting, drunk driving course, rappelling, NM Space Museum rocket
launches, German AF Tornado, 21 gun salute, Canon firing and much, much
more. |
